Oleg Khorzan, the leader of the Communist Party in Transnistria, has been assassinated. His life had been threatened recently after he started to work in uniting the oppositional forces in both Transnistria and Moldova. His murderers could come from either side of the divide as there are many who profit from the current situation. Let us all always remember that though being a Communist for us is often frustrating there are places in the world where it can be deadly. In these lands to be an effective Communist is to risk your very life. Salute to the memory of Comrade Khorzan and solidarity with his family and comrades.

MOSCOW, July 17 - RIA Novosti. The leader of the Transnistrian Communist Party, Oleg Khorzhan, was killed at his home, according to the Telegram channel of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation.

He was killed at home, we demand that we immediately begin an investigation and sort things out," Zyuganov said during a press conference on the results of the spring session of the State Duma and the tasks of the party in the new political season.
The Communist Party noted that the details of the incident are being investigated. "We received a message about the murder of the leader of the Pridnestrovian Communist Party and ex-deputy of the Supreme Council of Pridnestrovie Oleg Khorzhan. Details are being clarified," the telegram channel says.
