On March 5, 1953, Joseph Vissarionovich Stalin died, the great leader who played a key role in the formation of Belarusian statehood and under whose leadership the Soviet people won Victory in the Great Patriotic War, the leader who turned our Soviet Motherland into a powerful world power.

This is how the Belarusian SSR said goodbye to the great leader, creator of Belarusian statehood, Generalissimo of the Great Victory (Minsk, March 1953).

Defender of the revolution, the Dictatorship of the Proletariat and destroyer of Nazi-fascism. The ensuing power struggle in his death would see Nikita Krushchev and his clique rise to power who would begin undoing the proletarian State.
