Gorillas are omnivores, but by preference they are vegetarians. They don’t eat bananas; they will eat meat if plant food is scarce. They will eat duck if it sits long enough to be caught.
Gorilla Radio is omnivorous, and for life expectancy it has a way to go. Sitting ducks are easy prey. But that’s enough metaphor.
Never before on Gorilla Radio has there been such a moment for the radio to broadcast this news – the United States is losing two wars, and the strategic positions it has methodically built up in Europe since 1945, and in the Middle East since the Jewish state was established in 1948.
The proxies, US-backed Ukraine and US-backed Israel, are falling back as the number of fronts is greater than they have the men or materiel to hold, and their US-supplied arms face battlefield defeat.

Following the recording of this podcast, Russian state media reported President Vladimir Putin as describing the depth of the demilitarized zone which the Russian offensive will establish in the Ukraine. “ ‘This [demilitarized] line should … lie at such a distance from our territory that it would ensure the security [of Russian cities],’ the president said on Wednesday, adding that he was specifically referring to protection from ‘foreign-made longer-range weapons that the Ukrainian authorities use to strike peaceful cities.’”
Last June 14, former president Dmitri Medvedev, deputy head of the Security Council, had said: “Yesterday, the Russian president said that it is necessary to create a demilitarized zone (‘cordon sanitaire’) for the security of our country. Given the enemy’s decision to supply the Kiev regime with increasingly long-range weapons, such a line should run along the borders of Lvov in order for it to play a real defensive role,” Medvedev wrote on his Telegram channel. According to him, “these would be the new, secure borders of what used to be called ‘Country 404’ [Ukraine].” Read this analysis of Russian planning for the “sanitary zone” in the Ukraine last June.
Several hours after the podcast, maritime news wires began reporting that the MV Koi had been targeted by a Houthi attack against an “American merchant ship KOI … with several appropriate naval missiles.” This salvo followed another aimed at the destroyer, the USS Gravely. The Koi is a container carrier registered to Oceonix in the UK; Oceonix is a front for JP Morgan, the US investment bank. By reading this tweet, published on January 27, the new Houthi announcement corrected earlier claims and press reports identifying Oceonix as British owned.

The Koi was targeted in the Gulf of Aden. Vessel tracking reports suggest it was enroute with a cargo of containers from Mundra port, on the west coast of India, bound for discharge at Djibouti. This may indicate cargo for the US or French military bases at Djibouti. There appears to have been no hit on the Koi.
